  We've been a part of this preschool since 2006 when our first child started and have been very happy that friends and neighbors recommended it to us. Now our 3rd child is spending her 4 yr old school year here.
  
  Here are some of the things to consider about this preschool:
  
  Pros-
  Excellent teacher- We love Ms. Juli- patient, friendly, funny, calm
  Well-oiled parent-run preschool machine
  Tuition prices
  Great variety of things for the kids to do during class time
  Nice outdoor play area- they are good about going out all year round
  Very positive first school experience for each of different children
  Friendly families
  
  Cons-
  Being in a co-op really does require quite a bit of time. You are required to help out in the classrooms as often as every other week as a parent helper, and besides this there are a number of other activities that only happen because of parent involvement- gingerbread house making, around the world celebration, holiday parties, box mazes, field trips and more. You also have a "job" which can be making play-doh, helping with fundraising, scheduling field trips and more. These are intended to be suited to your skills and time availability.
  
  I work part-time off hours and that makes it possible to be a part of this program. Our daughter loves school and so do we. We highly recommend this preschool to people we know are looking for a school for their child.

  Warm & welcoming. Lots of U staff & faculty, good mix of youth, families & pillars. Excellent youth programs.

  Very friendly and welcoming. Inclusive and embracing of differences in sexual orientation, nationality, socioeconomic status, gender and race. Fantastic children's and youth programs as well as adult education opportunities.

  My eldest went to FUMCN after we moved here from California. The FUMCN community was very welcoming and helpful to me in getting to know Ann Arbor. My husband who is from A2 attended preschool at FUMCN as a child. My son really became very comfortable at FUMCN and loved Ms. Juli. The following year he got the structure and security he needed in the Young 5's with Ms. Susan. We are so happy he got that year to mature and acquire skills that have helped him be successful in Kindergarten. The young 5's program is small (10 to 12 kids) and quite reasonably priced given the class size.
  Our youngest is in the 3's right now and loving it. The parents are very sharp, organized, educated and committed. It is true that it requires a lot of parent participation for the 3's and 4's (the Young 5's not so) and this may not be the program for dual working parents. If you are looking for a co-op and want to provide a very rich experience for your kids FUMCN is a great value. Many of the teachers aids are professionals and past parents who loved their kids experience and remain big fans of FUMCN.
