  Excellent Pastor and church! Pastor Mattis is a a great man that has a great passion for his ministry. He provides a wonderful sermon with some of his personal stories that always make me smile.
  
  Pastor Mattis always becomes involved with his members. Whether, it's a stop by to your house to drop off an Easter Basket, to follow up on a sick member or just to see how your family is doing.
  
  From my past and personal experiences, I have been involved with this church since I was a teenager. I attended Sunday school, went to summer camps and also got married by him at Briarwood Baptist Church.
  
  In addition, Pastor Mattis has been by the side of my family in several ways. When my dad had open heart surgery...he went to my fathers bedside before he went to surgery to say a prayer. Several years later, my mother in law was diagnosed with cancer and grew very sick suddenly and needed a pastor to pray with her. He was there with no questions asked!
  
  A few years had past and my mother and father became very ill because of cancer and only had very little time left on earth (they passed 15 months of each other.) Pastor Mattis came to the house several times a day to pray with them and my family. He even went as far to help with funeral arrangements.
  
  As you can see, I can keep on writing on all the wonderful things that this man does...this is just a few of them.
  
  At the end of the day, Pastor Mattis is a very reputable Pastor that has a great church with great people. The church is very quaint and small. So everyone knows everyone! Most importantly, the belief in Christ and that our Savior will rise again is always a true testament at Briarwood Baptist Church!
